Martha and Bill Denzel

Martha and Bill Denzel

Pasadena residents Martha and Bill Denzel are loyal friends of Pasadena Humane, having donated to the shelter for over 25 years.

In 2017, they took their giving one step further by including Pasadena Humane in their estate plans, joining our 1903 Society (formerly our Legacy Society) in the process. The reason for their decision was simple, and one that probably comes as no surprise to animal lovers.

"We have no children, and over the years our dogs have been wonderful companions," Martha said. Ten-year-old Taylor, a shepherd mix, is the latest in a line of beloved dogs the couple has adopted from Pasadena Humane over the years.

"And the facility is just so nice," adds Bill, singling out our dog boarding services for special praise. Frequent travelers, Bill and Martha have relied on Pasadena Humane for boarding since first moving to the area years ago. "It is peace of mind," said Bill when describing the care and attention their dogs have received.

Thanks to the Denzel's decision to leave Pasadena Humane in their will, we can ensure that the homeless and abandoned animals that come through our doors will receive the care and attention they deserve while awaiting their forever homes.
